I was out at dinner at Oliviera in Nice and had this dish (picture below) which I absolutely loved and had so much since. You might be thinking that caprese salad is Italian not French. You would be right, but Nice is so close to Italy and is definitely heavily influenced by Italy. Most importantly, I had some of the most delicious tomatoes I had ever tasted here. I had to come up with a Caprese salad recipe.
This is definitely one of my No Cooking Required dishes that I will never overlook. Simple and so good.
There is something so amazing when you are eating simple, humble food with little preparation and no cooking that tastes so incredible and unforgettable. This Caprese salad recipe is a no cook recipe, so it would be simple to make even if you where staying in a small hotel room without a kitchen. All you would need is a knife, fork and small plate. If you have a minibar fridge you could even get the ingredients in the morning and prepare later. The moto is if you have great tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, make this caprese salad recipe.

Such a great dish to showcase great produce and olive oil if its available but still a good option with everything straight from the supermarket. Once you try this Caprese salad recipe in Nice, or France, with a amazing mixed bag of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and good olive oil you will struggle to forget it.
